Summary: Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Food and Nutrition teacher for a temporary supply role at a secondary academy in Manchester, starting on 17th June 2025 for four weeks. The position requires delivering innovative practical lessons in food technology, nutrition, and health, with a focus on practical teaching experience. The academy is open to both new Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS teachers. The role offers a supportive working environment and excellent facilities for teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food technology, nutrition, and health lessons five days a week from 8.20am to 3.20pm.
- Focus on innovative practical lessons in food technology.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and pupil progress.
- Maintain a well-ordered and disciplined classroom environment.
- Collaborate with staff to support student learning and development.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Experience in teaching practical food technology.
- Strong understanding of food and nutrition curriculum.
- Ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
