Summary: The Focal Point - Supply Chain role at Petrofac involves leading procurement and supply chain activities for the Asset Solutions business, ensuring effective processes and resources are utilized. The position requires strategic management and hands-on delivery, working closely with stakeholders to support project execution and tendering activities. The role emphasizes compliance with company procedures and the development of supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency. This is a 12-month contract position based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all procurement and supply chain activities for Petrofac’s Asset Solutions business.
- Plan, tender, and manage all Supply Chain activities in line with best practices.
- Accountable for the planning and delivery of Supply Chain activities for tendering, pre-FEED, FEED, and project execution.
- Manage Procurement, Expediting, and Materials teams under the specific business line.
- Deliver Procurement OPEX / CAPEX budget and provide cost efficiencies.
- Develop and implement project execution plans and Supply Chain strategy papers.
- Manage designated SCM resources and ensure performance measurement.
- Proactively manage supplier registration and compliance with due diligence requirements.
- Provide regular and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Procure materials and services efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
- Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost reductions.
- Ensure compliance with company and statutory regulations in all Supply Chain activities.
- Validate 3rd party supplier invoices and manage post-order administration.
- Identify risks and opportunities within Supply Chain Management.
Key Skills:
- End to End supply chain project execution experience on UK Onshore and Offshore sites.
- Detailed knowledge of the UK Oil & Gas Construction and Fabrication sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing Supply Chain Management strategies.
- Experience in managing Oil & Gas Supply Chain delivery.
- In-depth experience of Commercial Terms and Conditions.
- Experience in building and leading a supply chain team.
- Excellent communication skills to influence client and project management teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or related subjects preferred.
- Good negotiating skills and self-motivated attitude.
- Strong commitment to safety and good business ethics.
