Summary: The Fluid System Engineer role at NUVIA UK involves supporting the Fluid Systems team by producing and reviewing system documentation related to mechanical and thermo-hydraulic design, as well as instrumentation and control. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with engineering standards and effective management of modifications. The role is based in Bristol with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days remote. Candidates must possess a relevant engineering degree and experience in the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce, review, and update system documentation for mechanical and thermo-hydraulic design.
- Perform analysis to define I&C functional requirements and produce I&C logic documentation.
- Conduct thermal-hydraulic calculations and ensure 3D model consistency with system design.
- Support procurement team with technical specifications and documentation.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure product delivery meets multidisciplinary requirements.
- Manage modifications related to systems, including producing specifications and analyzing applicability.
- Utilize electronic Engineering Change Management tools for system coordination support.
- Participate in experience sharing and continuous improvement activities.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the nuclear industry.
- Ability to manage workload and produce high-quality documents within deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Proactive in developing positive working relationships and improving engineering quality.
- Knowledge of EPR system design principles and Instrumentation and Control architecture (desirable).
- Ability to read and/or write technical documents in French (desirable).
