Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced SURF Flowline & Subsea Structures Lead Engineer to oversee engineering, design review, and delivery of flowlines and subsea structures in a deepwater offshore development project. The role requires acting as the technical authority, ensuring compliance with project objectives and safety standards. The position is based in Paris, France, with a site assignment in Angola during the project phase. The contract duration is 12 months, renewable, starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all engineering activities related to flowlines and subsea structures within the SURF package
  • Supervise and manage EPC contractors, ensuring deliverables meet technical, contractual, and schedule requirements
  • Review, challenge, and approve detailed engineering documentation, calculations, and design reports
  • Identify and manage technical risks, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, company specifications, and HSEQ requirements
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including installation, interface, and project management functions
  • Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities from an engineering perspective
  • Participate in and lead technical meetings, workshops, and interface discussions with stakeholders
  • Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and technical issues to project leadership
  • Contribute to project optimization efforts, including cost, schedule, and technical improvements

Key Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in subsea or offshore engineering
  • Strong background in SURF engineering, with solid expertise in flowlines and subsea structures
  • Proven experience in deepwater offshore projects
  • Previous experience in a Lead Engineer or senior supervisory role within large-scale developments
  • Strong experience in contractor management and engineering review
  • Good knowledge of installation, hook-up, and commissioning phases
  • Familiarity with international standards such as DNV, API, ISO
  • Experience working with major offshore operators or contractors is highly preferred
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
