A vacancy has arisen for a Fixed term Service appointment Specialty Registrar (higher) until 31 July 2025 at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in the Haematology directorate, based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.This post is available from 1 February 2025.This post is not recognised for TrainingThe haematology department consists of 26 inpatient beds, 10 Blood and Marrow Transplantation beds, day and ambulatory care units, a dedicated Haemostasis and Thrombosis service and full array laboratory haematology services.Applicants should have MRCP or equivalent.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in all aspects of haematology including outpatients, liaison, inpatients, Day Unit, and emergency care.The candidate will be part of an on call rota and all clinical care will be supervised and supported by the haematology consultants.Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 17,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
