Summary: The Fixed Term Consultant Anaesthetist position at North Bristol NHS Trust involves providing anaesthetic services across various specialties, including trauma, colorectal, and obstetrics. The role requires the appointee to have a CCT in Anaesthesia or be close to obtaining it, along with full GMC registration. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anaesthetic services across various specialties including trauma, colorectal, and obstetrics.
- Participate in the regional endovascular services and expanding regional anaesthesia service.
- Contribute to the Colorectal Centre and Bristol Urology Institute as a tertiary referral centre.
- Engage in clinical research and trials within the large Neurosurgical centre.
- Support the Stroke Thrombectomy Service and Plastics and Burns Unit.
- Participate in teaching and training of medical undergraduates and postgraduates.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and staff at all levels.
Key Skills:
- CCT in Anaesthesia or nearing completion.
- Full registration with the GMC.
- Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience, including 3 years as a registrar.
- Experience with UK hospital systems and practices.
- Proven teaching ability and willingness to teach.
- Good written communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and form effective working relationships.
