Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anaesthetic services across a range of specialties including trauma, elective surgery, and regional anaesthesia.
- Participate in the expanding regional anaesthesia service supporting trauma and plastic surgery.
- Engage in clinical activities at various centres including the Colorectal Centre and Bristol Urology Institute.
- Contribute to the Major Trauma Centre and participate in the Stroke Thrombectomy Service.
- Involve in teaching and training of medical undergraduates and postgraduates.
- Participate in clinical audits and research initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and staff at all levels.
Key Skills:
- Full registration with the GMC and a CCT in Anaesthesia or nearing completion.
- Recent experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices.
- Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience, including 3 years as a registrar.
- Proven teaching ability and willingness to teach medical students and trainees.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to lead a team.
- Knowledge of contemporary NHS management issues and political context.
- Evidence of continuous medical education and involvement in clinical audits.
