Fire & Security Project Engineer (Custodial)

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, have an opportunity for a Project Engineer (Custodial). The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. The position of Project Engineer is to work on and assist with the day to day project management of a new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems Project within a New Build Prison environment. With a sound knowledge and previous experience in the industry, you will ensure efficient delivery and installation of challenging, fast paced Custodial projects.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle projects from enquiry to completion.
• Ability to manage a construction programme and report accordingly.
• To effectively manage the installation works on site whilst liaising with both sub-contractors and clients.
• Undertaking of relevant H & S duties ie safe starts, tool box talks etc.
• Liaise with manufacturing, design and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
• Ability to highlight any problem areas ensuring they are effectively communicated to the relevant parties.
• Ensuring compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
• To complete Quality Assurance documentation ensuring works are of the appropriate standard and report snags to sub-contractors.
• Ability to delegate tasks to team members.
• Willingness to learn and undertake commercial responsibilities on projects.
