Summary: The Financial Systems Accountant role involves supporting a Housing Provider in the South West with budget uploads and data reconciliation across multiple entities. The position requires assistance in preparing statutory accounts, consolidated reporting schedules, and various financial returns. The role is hybrid and is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Accountant and Fixed Asset Reporting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the new budget creation and upload into the reporting software
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts in accordance with the timetable
- Support the preparation of a consolidated reporting schedule to automate the group consolidation process
- Assist in the preparation of all the FVA returns
- Support the Project Accountant with the day-to-day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system
- Support the Fixed Asset Reporting team with periodic reviews of assets and reconciliation tasks
- Assist with any other external reporting tasks as required
Key Skills:
- Educated to GCSE and A-Level Standard (or equivalent), including GCSE passes in English and Maths
- Qualified member of or studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (Desirable)
