Summary: The Financial Systems Accountant role involves supporting a Housing Provider in the South West by managing budget uploads and ensuring data accuracy across multiple entities. The position requires collaboration with various teams to prepare statutory accounts and automate reporting processes. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Dorset with hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the new budget creation and upload into the reporting software
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts in accordance with the timetable, supporting on the subsidiary companies; including, but not limited to the preparation of year end reporting schedules in line with external auditors’ requirements
- Assist in the preparation of a consolidated reporting schedule to automate the group consolidation process
- Assist in the preparation of all the FVA returns
- Support the Project Accountant with the day-to-day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system
- Support the Fixed asset reporting team including, but not limited to:
- Periodic review of assets for potential obsolescence and impairment
- Reconcile housing stock between the Hub and A4K
- The preparation of current asset housing property fixed asset notes
- Assist with any other external reporting task as required
Key Skills:
- Educated to GCSE and A-Level Standard (or equivalent), including GCSE passes in English and Maths
- Qualified member of or studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (Desirable)
