Summary: The Interim Financial Systems Accountant role involves supporting the preparation and integration of financial systems within a housing business for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Dorset. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation and creation of the budget and ensuring it is uploaded to the reporting software
- Providing expert support on the integration of the new system into the budgeting tool
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts in line with the schedule
- Handling the preparation of year-end reporting schedules for subsidiary companies
- Helping prepare the consolidated reporting schedule to automate the consolidation process
- Preparing the FVA returns
- Providing guidance for the Project Accountant on financial reporting and budget system maintenance
- Collaborating with the Fixed Asset Reporting Team to review assets for obsolescence and impairment
- Supporting additional external reporting activities as needed
Key Skills:
- Financial related degree or AAT level 3 qualified, ideally with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification
- Substantial experience in a comparable role with exposure to financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting
- Excellent experience and knowledge of financial systems and IT skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Immediate availability for a contract position
