Summary: The Risk & Audit Manager role is essential for a national organization’s Assurance team, focusing on managing strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks. The position requires developing and enhancing risk management frameworks while partnering with various business units to ensure effective risk assessment and control. This fixed-term contract emphasizes ethical practices and stakeholder relationship management. The role is hybrid, allowing for two days of remote work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a value-focused assurance framework.
- Enhance and embed the risk management framework in alignment with business strategy.
- Partner with risk owners to identify and assess key risks and control activities.
- Support annual business controls testing and reporting, reviewing key controls' effectiveness.
- Develop and implement companywide policies and awareness programs for compliance risks.
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Key Skills:
- Experience in external audit, internal audit, risk management, or assurance roles.
- Educated to degree level with a professional qualification in accountancy, internal audit, or risk management.
- Knowledge of risk management techniques and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in large, complex organizations across multiple business units.
- Skilled in delivering and communicating best practice programs and continuous improvement.
