Financial Reporting Specialist

Summary: The Financial Reporting & Business Intelligence Lead role in Manchester involves leading the preparation of comprehensive reporting packs for Board and Executive stakeholders during a period of transformation. The position requires translating financial and operational performance into clear narratives while ensuring accuracy and consistency across governance forums. The role also includes managing reporting timelines and integrating various metrics into cohesive outputs. This is a 6-month contract position with a hybrid working arrangement and an outside IR35 classification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end preparation of Board, Executive and Stakeholder reporting packs
• Translate financial and operational performance into clear executive-level narratives
• Ensure consistency, relevance and accuracy of reported information across all governance forums
• Coordinate inputs from Executive Leadership Team and functional heads
• Manage reporting timelines and enforce contribution deadlines
• Challenge and validate submitted data for completeness and alignment
• Maintain reporting frameworks, templates and performance dashboards
• Integrate financial, commercial and operational metrics into cohesive reporting outputs
• Streamline reporting processes through automation and BI tooling
