Financial Reporting Senior Accountant - Associate (FTC until 31/10/25)

Summary: The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant role at BNP Paribas involves overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Review year-end and half-year financial accounts.
• Liaise with auditors and operational departments.
• Review monthly board papers (management accounts).
• Oversee IFRS10 reporting, actual distribution rates, and closed funds balance sheets.
• Review net asset values reported to AIC and Stock Exchange.
• Ensure compliance with client SLAs and internal delivery deadlines.
• Support management in documenting and updating team processes and checklists.
• Assist in planning and preparation of interim and final financial statements.
• Timely escalation of issues to management and corrective actions as needed.

Key Skills:

• Sound technical experience in preparation and review of statutory accounts.
• IOC or equivalent professional qualification (or willingness to study towards it).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced numerical skills and accounting knowledge.
• Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Accounting experience or qualification, or studying towards one.
• Experience in the Financial Services Sector.
• Knowledge of UK/Lux GAAP, IFRS, and SORP for Authorised Funds.
• Financial Reporting experience in a Fund Accounting function.
