Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards
- Ownership and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong controls and integrity across financial reporting
- Supporting year-end and interim audit processes, acting as a key contact for auditors
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of accounting policies, frameworks and technical guidance
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardisation across the reporting function
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities where required
- Working closely with wider finance teams to ensure consistent reporting standards and compliance
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or close to qualification
- Strong experience within financial reporting or technical accounting
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Good understanding of accounting standards and policy frameworks
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements within finance functions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly
