Summary: The Financial PMO Lead will oversee financial aspects of two key programs for a major UK retail bank, ensuring accurate financial management through budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role requires strong communication with stakeholders and involves onboarding new employees while maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The position is a 6-month contract based in London with hybrid working arrangements. The candidate must have a solid PMO background and accountancy experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Analysing financial data to provide insights and recommendations, supporting the overall financial health and success of the programmes.
- Communicating with Stakeholders keeping them updated with any changes that have happened.
- Overseeing the onboarding process for new employees, which includes providing comprehensive training, and ensuring they are familiar with the organisation's policies, culture, and their specific roles.
- Monthly activities include tracking actual expenditures, comparing them with forecasts, and analysing discrepancies. This also involves daily reconciliations between various systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience of holding a PMO Lead position.
- Accountancy background.
- Experience within a large Corporate environment.
- Strong excel skills.
- Experience of Oracle, FieldGlass or Plan View is beneficial.
- Accountancy qualification - beneficial.
