Summary: The Financial Crime Senior Manager will lead the Financial Crime team, focusing on enhancing services for leading UK businesses. This role involves embedding a culture of Financial Crime Risk awareness, developing project deliverables, and providing leadership as a subject-matter expert. The position requires eligibility for Security Clearance and allows for home-based work with minimal office travel. Key responsibilities include designing frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing financial crime risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver the Financial Crime framework, tools, and mechanisms.
  • Support projects and systems developments to ensure regulatory AML compliance and effective fraud risk management.
  • Contribute to the assessment and development of the Financial Crime strategy for relevant business units.
  • Identify potential financial crime risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Maintain Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure staff are trained and knowledgeable to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide support and guidance to Financial Crime Analysts (AML/CTF/Fraud).
  • Review the work of 2nd Line Financial Crime Analysts for quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly assurance work over 1st Line Teams for regulatory compliance.
  • Complete monthly RCSA checks for Quality Assurance purposes.
  • Oversee and approve all PEPs with client engagement.
  • Advise on possible sanction match referrals and inform clients and OFSI as necessary.
  • Assist in liaising with relevant financial crime authorities.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of financial crime policy, legislation, regulations, and systems.
  • Experience in a Business Process Services environment and financial services.
  • Strong experience in financial crime management and/or oversight roles.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Risk operating environment.
