Fantastic opportunity to work for a 12 month fixed term contract for an Asset Finance Business based in Liverpool. This is a great role offering a very competitive salary as well as great opportunities and challenges.Our client are looking for a candidate who can deal with the escalations and difficult cases as well as someone who has strong experience and knowledge of organised crime / criminal activity. PURPOSE OF ROLE To ensure day to day running of the financial crime department, ensuring all SLA s are met, escalation point for all complex cases. Supporting the head of operations as well as the MLRO and providing support to the business to ensure financial crime risks are mitigated, whilst supporting business growth.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Risk Management and Compliance To support the MLRO in ensuring AFG s compliance with Financial Crime requirements. Oversight of referrals made to Financial Crime where there is Money Laundering concerns and oversight of legal requests made by Law Enforcement Agencies and Government Departments. Maintain a working knowledge of regulations relating to Financial Crime.Make recommendations on money laundering issues, referring to the MLRO where appropriate. Complete submissions to NCA where applicable. Complete witness statements where applicable.Complete CIFAS Audits.Complete National Hunter Audits.Complete weekly and monthly MI.Keep up to date with all relevant regulatory and legislative changes and raise potential emerging risks.Ensure that records are kept of work undertaken and advice given to the business and that there is an appropriate filing system is in place to enable retrieval to meet regulatory responsibilities. Ensure that responsibilities regarding Treating Customers Fairly, the Prevention of Financial Crime (including money laundering) are carried out effectively and in accordance with the Company s internal policies.Complete 4 eye checks to identify areas to improve to processes to minimise the company s exposure to financial crime and reduce false positive matches. Conduct monthly QA. Customer and Relationship Management To liaise with the NCA and other law enforcement agencies to ensure a compliant business. Build professional effective working relationships with key internal departments. Build relationships with external stakeholder and peers across the industry.Intra-group liaison to facilitate best practice and business excellence. Build relationships with The Company s Senior Leadership Team. Process Management Ensuring all department SLA. Make submissions to NCA.Conduct training for colleagues around the business to raise awareness of financial crime highlighting current risks and typologies.Support the ongoing training of the team through coaching and mentoring. Review and update current Financial Crime policies and procedures. Other Contribute ideas for process improvements Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders.Act with integrity at all times and embrace and demonstrate the philosophy of treating our customers fairly.
