Summary: The Financial Crime Business Analyst role at FDM involves supporting a major financial crime programme within the finance sector, focusing on enhancing standards related to customer due diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC). This is a hybrid position based in Northampton, initially for a 6-month contract with potential for extension. The role requires significant experience in financial crime, particularly in payments issuing and acquiring businesses, to align with evolving UK regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support programme mobilisation by defining the roadmap, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Contribute to uplifting Financial Crime policy standards, rewriting processes, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Establish project fundamentals, set up effective communication channels, and introduce best practices to drive operational efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment with the evolving UK regulatory landscape, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory guidance into the programme’s framework.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience working in Financial Crime.
  • Strong background in Financial Crime, AML, and KYC/CDD frameworks, with experience in Payments Issuing and Acquiring businesses.
  • Hands-on experience in financial crime transformation programmes, particularly those focused on process reengineering and policy uplift.
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory expectations and recent developments in financial crime risk management, including FCA and JMLSG guidelines.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, and Change teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to support process standardisation and project governance.

Salary (Rate): £90,000.00
