Summary: The Financial Controller role is a 12-month fixed-term contract within a Global FTSE FMCG business located in London. The position involves overseeing a team of four qualified accountants and managing financial reporting for the head office and subsidiaries across the UK and Europe. The role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to maintain stakeholder relationships while ensuring compliance with UKGAAP and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management all aspects of reporting for the PLC entities and multiple subsidiaries to UKGAAP
- Lead the preparation and analysis of management accounts
- Responsible for the statutory accounts within the Head Office to IFRS standards
- Lead, mentor and develop four direct reports
- Maintain and build key stakeholder relationships across the business
- Strong management of controls for the Head Office function
- Be the main point of contact for the internal and external auditors
- Review VAT submissions
- Drive improvements and efficiency across the business
- Adhoc project tasks and financial duties
Key Skills:
- ACA or ACCA qualification essential
- A wealth of post qualified experience within month end technical reporting
- Experience of managing a team
- Prior experience of preparing statutory accounts to UKGAAP and IFRS
- Available on short notice
- Previous experience of Great Plains and Dynamics 365 would be desirable

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a Global FTSE FMCG business in their London head office. This role is a 12 month contract covering the current Financial Controller as they are seconded onto a system implementation project. Reporting into the Head of Central Finance, you be responsible for a team of 4 qualified accountants and financial reporting for the Head office function and smaller subsidiaries across the UK and Europe.
