Financial Controller

Allen Lane are delighted to be working with a Public Sector body to recruit an interim Financial Controller on a 6-month interim basis.

This role will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for the management of the Finance function including the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while also taking ownership of year-end accounts and external audit delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial finance background with experience of implementing effective financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AP and AR teams
• Lead year-end close and statutory accounts process
• Coordinate external audit activities
• Improve financial controls and processes
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business

Requirements

• Proven Financial Controller experience
• Strong year-end and audit experience
• Commercial finance background
• Public sector experience desirable
