Financial Controller

Summary: The Financial Controller role at a successful plant hire firm in Edinburgh involves leading financial operations for a 6-month period. The position requires the preparation of financial reports, oversight of budgeting and forecasting, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the firm's goals
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for all financial operations
• Prepare and present financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements to senior management
• Analyse the performance of the financials and provide commentary and insights to the board and senior management
• Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic business decisions
• Assist the senior leadership team to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans
• Be the key contact point for all external stakeholders
• Handle all budgeting and forecasting for the year
• Manage ad hoc projects as requested by senior management

Key Skills:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5-8 years PQE
• Experience of Great Plains is beneficial
• Proven experience as a finance leader
• Experience of managing teams
• Strong communication and Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities

Salary (Rate): £500
