Summary: The role of Interim Financial Controller at an industry-leading manufacturing business in Bristol involves leading financial controls during the Finance Director's absence for 18 months. The position requires ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, management accounts, and budget forecasting. The successful candidate will supervise a team and collaborate with various stakeholders to provide financial insights and support. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a focus on high-quality financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial postings and month-end closing activities, including conversion to IFRS standards
- Lead Year End reporting and liaising with the external auditors
- Analysis and commentary on the management accounts and project accounts utilising relations with commercial colleagues
- Leadership & calculation for taxes (VAT, CT, ICTP)
- Supervise team of 3 in Bristol and liaise with GBS team
- Support FD and prepare board packs with KPI analysis
- Liaise with Internal auditors and external tax advisors
- Coordinate and support overhead budget setting and quarterly review
- Partner with business and provide Finance support on Tenders and projects
Key Skills:
- ACCA, CIMA OR ACA or part qualified/qualified by experience
- Knowledge and understanding of UK tax
- Understanding of IFRS102 and IFRS accounting
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
