p>Hays is currently seeking an Interim Business Analyst to join a local council team. This role is pivotal in analysing and developing business processes to enhance both current and future state operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating actionable plans and recommendations aimed at improving efficiency and productivity across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse data related to organisational structures, personnel, processes, and systems.
  • Build financial models and visualise data through charts and graphs to support operational models and organisational design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project life cycle.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in HR data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong financial analysis and budgeting capabilities.
  • Experience with workforce analytics and metrics.
  • Knowledge of process improvement and automation techniques.
  • Familiarity with HRIS management.
  • Excellent stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to create data visualisations and dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience Required:

  • Experience with Zero-Based Budgeting is highly desirable, including the application of its principles and activities.
  • Proven track record in analysing HR and financial data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience of developing and tracking HR budgets, costs, and forecasts.
  • The ability to analyse budgets and challenge budgetary prioritisation.
  • Experience in creating HR metrics and KPIs for workforce planning and reporting.
  • Identified opportunities for process improvement within HR functions.
  • Collaborated with finance teams to align HR initiatives with financial goals.
  • Managed and optimised HR systems (HRIS) and reporting tools.
  • Produced dashboards and visual reports for senior leadership.
  • Supported projects with comprehensive HR and financial data analysis.
