Summary: The Financial Analyst (VAT Compliance) role is a temporary position based in Manchester, focusing on VAT compliance within the International Indirect Tax Compliance team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, analysing, reviewing, and submitting FRITES and SE VAT returns and related filings.
  • Organising VAT registrations across various jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with VAT compliance queries from businesses operating across EMEA.
  • Mapping VAT processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Preparing and reviewing month-end VAT account reconciliations.
  • Supporting internal and external audits through data analysis.
  • Leading cross-functional projects with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in VAT advisory or compliance functions with foundational VAT knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Italian or French is beneficial.
  • A recognised accounting or tax qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, or similar) is a plus.

Our client, a dynamic and diverse organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their International Indirect Tax Compliance team for a 6-month contract. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of EMEA VAT returns and related filings for jurisdictions including France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:
