Summary: The Financial Analyst (VAT Compliance) role is a temporary position based in Manchester, focusing on VAT compliance within the International Indirect Tax Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns for various EMEA jurisdictions and will engage in process improvements and cross-functional projects. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to significant projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, analysing, reviewing, and submitting FRITES and SE VAT returns and related filings.
  • Organising VAT registrations across various jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with VAT compliance queries from businesses operating across EMEA.
  • Mapping VAT processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Preparing and reviewing month-end VAT account reconciliations.
  • Supporting internal and external audits through data analysis.
  • Leading cross-functional projects with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in VAT advisory or compliance functions with foundational VAT knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Italian or French is beneficial.
  • A recognised accounting or tax qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, or similar) is a plus.

Our client, a dynamic and diverse organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their International Indirect Tax Compliance team for a 6-month contract. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of EMEA VAT returns and related filings for jurisdictions including France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:
