With a complex, high-volume operational environment and an impressive track record of growth, the business is looking to appoint a commercially minded Finance & Commercial Analyst to join its finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, improving reporting processes and partnering with operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful commercial insight.

The role offers a broad mix of financial reporting, analysis, FP&A and process improvement, with genuine exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key elements of the month-end close process, including revenue and gross profit reporting.
• Extract, reconcile and analyse large volumes of financial and operational data from multiple business systems.
• Produce insightful management reporting, KPI dashboards and commercial analysis for Finance and Operational teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and wider business planning activities.
• Manage consultant commission and bonus calculations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve data quality and streamline finance processes using Excel and reporting tools.
• Support year-end audit requirements and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

About You

Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst, FP&A, Management Accountant or similar analytical finance role.

Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse high-volume datasets.

Experience supporting month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.

Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Confident communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Experience within recruitment, professional services or another high-volume transactional environment.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, VBA or reporting automation tools.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems.
