Summary: The role of Finance Analyst involves managing and processing trade data for a global investment specialist based in London. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining robust Excel models to process trade data.
  • Applying accounting logic to generate DR/CR journal entries from trade data.
  • Reconciling trade-related entries with the general ledger.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure proper data mapping between Excel files and the accounting system.
  • Supporting data quality checks and helping implement error-handling procedures within the Excel files.

Key Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas (e.g., Vlookup, Index/Match, Sumifs), Pivot Tables, and data transformation.
  • Basic VBA knowledge is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, especially double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Part-qualified candidate or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance.
  • Prior experience in trade processing within financial services or an investment environment is desirable but not necessary.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reconciling financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Finance Analyst | Global Investment Specialist | London and 5 Days in Office | 6 month FTC with potential to go perm | £33k

We are working with a global investment specialist that provides specialized financial services to its clients. They are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their team in their London office. They have 5 key business areas Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Trading, and principle Investment. They are looking for a finance analyst with advanced excel skills to join their accounting team. You will be managing and processing trade data.

Your Role:

  • Developing and maintaining robust excel models to process the trade data
  • Apply accounting logic to generate DR/CR journal entries from trade data
  • Reconcile trade related entries with the general ledger
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper data mapping between Excel files and the accounting system

Your Skill:
