Financial Analyst

Summary: Halliday Marx is seeking a Finance Analyst for a 9-month interim role with a respected media firm, with potential for extension. The position involves hybrid working, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. The analyst will provide financial insights and analytical support to various stakeholders, focusing on business performance and reporting processes. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, and presenting findings to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to provide analytical support and financial insight on business performance, revenue streams, and cost centres.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis across divisions (e.g., content production, advertising, distribution).
• Translate large, complex data sets into clear and concise reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Conduct scenario modelling, ROI analysis, and business case evaluations for key commercial initiatives.
• Assist in streamlining reporting processes and implementing best practices across budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Provide financial input into transformation projects, systems upgrades, or new business models (e.g., subscription, DTC, licensing).
• Ensure data integrity between financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, Excel models).
• Liaise with IT and data teams to refine financial data flows and BI reporting tools.
• Present analysis and findings to senior management and support ad-hoc strategic finance tasks.

Key Skills:

• CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Big 4 qualification and experience.
• Media & Entertainment experience preferred.
• SAP Proficiency.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Salary (Rate): £80,000.00 yearly
