Summary: The role of Interim Finance Analyst involves providing hands-on finance support within a busy shared service centre for a duration of 3-6 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations (including dual reconciliation)
- Balance sheet reconciliations, plus Direct Debit, cheque, and credit card reconciliations
- General ledger accounting support and maintaining the accuracy of postings
- Processing journals and supporting month-end close activities
- Resolving reconciliation breaks and finance queries to closure
- Supporting external audit remediation, due diligence requests, and gathering audit evidence
- Monthly reporting support and Excel-based data analysis using large data sets
- Maintaining trackers and ensuring BAU continuity
- Supporting finance controls and process documentation
Key Skills:
- Strong background in finance operations / financial accounting within a shared service centre (or similar)
- Proven bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Experience handling large data sets and high-volume transactions
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, data manipulation)
- Confident resolving issues independently and working at pace
