Summary: The role of Interim Financial Planning Analyst involves supporting financial planning, analysis, and business partnering within a product-led technology business in the Greater Glasgow area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders across multiple markets
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly P&L performance by market, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast
  • Building and maintaining financial models covering revenue, gross margin, EBIT, cash and key investment areas
  • Supporting monthly reforecasting and longer-term planning activity
  • Contribution to annual budgeting and multi-period planning cycles
  • Development, monitoring and reporting of KPIs aligned to commercial and operational performance
  • Preparation of management and board-level financial packs and presentations
  • Identification of trends, risks and opportunities, with supporting analysis and commentary
  • Ad-hoc commercial finance and project support as required
  • Ongoing maintenance and improvement of planning and reporting tools, primarily in Excel

Intro Cedar is partnered with a PE-backed, product-led technology business to appoint an Interim Financial Planning Analyst. This is an initial 3-month contract, based in the Greater Glasgow area, paying £400-£500 per day (Outside IR35).

The Company The business operates in a technically complex, product-driven environment with revenues generated across multiple international markets. It combines physical products, software and recurring revenue streams, selling through a mix of direct and indirect channels. Following sustained growth and continued investment, the focus is on strengthening commercial insight, market-level performance visibility and planning discipline across the group.

The Role Reporting into the FP&A leadership team, this is a commercially focused role supporting financial planning, analysis and business partnering across a defined set of markets. You will work closely with sales, operations and senior management to translate performance into clear insight and support decision-making.
