Summary: The Financial Analyst role in Glasgow involves leading financial risk management and collaborating with senior leaders within the organization. The position requires oversight of financial accounting, analysis, and reporting, while also coaching the finance team and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct finance and corporate governance processes in line with financial policies and regulations.
- Leverage business acumen to suggest strategic options.
- Oversee financial accounting, analysis, and reporting activities.
- Produce insightful management reporting and analysis.
- Coach the finance team in core financial and analytical activities.
- Create policies for internal financial control and challenge stakeholders on asset integrity.
- Lead the business planning process through effective stakeholder influence.
- Consult on the design and use of technology for finance decision-making.
Key Skills:
- Significant post-qualification experience with relevant accounting institution (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
- Thorough knowledge of risk management and governance procedures.
- Strong commercial experience with an understanding of investment regulations.
- Experience balancing stakeholder expectations with business needs.
- Expansive experience across multiple financial disciplines.
- Ability to identify and advise on alternate sources of business finance.
- Experience in influencing senior stakeholders and conflict resolution.
- Experience leading and motivating a team; OPEX experience preferred.
