Summary: The Financial Analyst role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on supporting the Finance Business Partner in cost management and reporting within a rapidly growing Financial Services business. The position involves providing in-depth analysis for new business initiatives and collaborating with senior leaders to manage costs effectively. The role requires strong project management and communication skills to build credibility with stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements while maintaining cost controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the budget and forecast process to drive efficient company growth.
- Produce excellent cost reporting and tracking of commercial objectives using agreed KPIs.
- Manage and develop relationships with the business, facilitating regular dialogue between business areas and Finance.
- Support the monthly close process for cost accounting/reporting.
- Provide full lifecycle cost support for change initiatives, including new investments and benefit tracking.
- Partner with business leaders to propose cost solutions, deliver presentations, and contribute to developing Expense Business Partnering Strategy.
- Help ensure costs are maintained within agreed budgets and controlled.
- Actively contribute to process improvements and other Finance projects.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) with a strong academic record.
- Previous experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partner, or Management Accounting roles.
- Strong communication skills and Finance Business Partnering experience.
- Established knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience of cost management framework and reporting.
- Understanding of Financial Services cost bases.
Salary (Rate): £70,000
