Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a Finance and Commercial Analyst on a 6 month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate is £450umbrella and office presence in the city centre will be required 1-2x per week, with 3-4 days WFH. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and data handling acumen, analytical capability.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading on corporate data analytics and the development of a new trading database
- Collating and analysing financial and commercial data across trading services
- Providing support for effective business monitoring, capital project tracking, and business development planning
- Contributing to the design and implementation of improved trading systems and internal reporting processes
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Experience in data analysis, ideally within a large public sector organisation
- Strong hands-on experience with complex financial systems
- A sound grasp and application of Excel spreadsheets
