Summary: The role of Financial Analyst is a 6-month fixed-term contract within the management account team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing income and expenditure for a specific area, providing financial advice, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The position requires a qualified individual with strong communication skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data. Knowledge of Welsh is desirable but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all aspects of income and expenditure for a specific Area/Division or Executive Directorate Budget.
- Provide professional assistance and financial advice to managers, investigating complex financial variances.
- Ensure all income, expenditure, and invoices are processed in accordance with procedures and accounting standards.
- Provide timely and accurate financial management information within tight deadlines.
- Coordinate with colleagues across the Finance Department and wider Health Board to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
Key Skills:
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience/qualification.
- Significant experience in a finance environment.
- Proficiency in computerised financial management systems and controls.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict deadlines.
- Strong skills in spreadsheets and PC-based office applications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Desirable: ECDL Qualification and ability to communicate effectively in Welsh.
