Summary: The Financial Analyst role is a 6-month fixed-term contract within the management account team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage all aspects of income and expenditure for a specific Area/Division or Executive Directorate Budget.
  • Provide professional assistance and financial advice to managers, investigating complex financial variances and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Ensure all income, expenditure, and invoices are processed in accordance with procedures and accounting standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial management information within tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate with colleagues across the Finance Department and wider Health Board to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Key Skills:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in a finance environment.
  • Proficiency in computerised financial management systems and controls.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Strong skills in spreadsheets and PC-based office applications.
  • Ability to process, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.
  • Desirable: ECDL qualification and ability to communicate effectively in Welsh.
