Summary: The Financial Analyst role based in Chester involves overseeing the month-end close process, preparing financial forecasts, and presenting financials to senior leadership. The position requires collaboration with the FP&A team to enhance process efficiency and reporting standards. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information effectively. This role is crucial for driving financial insights and supporting decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor month end close process, review month end P&L and commentary
- Oversight of the accruals and expense allocation (e.g. PWC audit expense, VAT allocation etc)
- Prepare or/ and review forecasting
- Prepare and present financials in senior leadership meetings on regular and ad hoc basis
- Manage cost centre and hierarchy maintenance
- Collaborate with wider FP&A team to drive process efficiency and reporting standardization
- Ad hoc work including but not limit to cost saving analysis, cooperate internal and external audit reviews
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified)
- FP&A experience
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for details
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbal and written, able to deliver financial information and provide appropriate reporting to senior management
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Organised, details oriented, manage multiple requests and deliverables
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of Tableau or/ and Alteryx is preferred
