Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review daily banking transactions
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly forecasting and variance analysis
- Prepare and post prepayments and accruals
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
- Use Oracle for financial processing and reporting
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required
Key Skills:
- Junior PQ or Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar financial or assistant accountant role
- Strong understanding of financial processes and month-end procedures
- Experienced working with Oracle
- Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
