Summary: The role of Financial Accountant is a fixed-term contract position based in Worksop, focusing on statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial control for a leading international manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial processes for head office, R&D, laboratory, and administrative cost centres.
- Handle intercompany recharges and capital project accounting across multiple group entities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and cost centre reports.
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for eight UK legal entities in accordance with FRS101.
- Liaise with external tax advisors to prepare UK tax computations and support R&D tax credit claims.
- Manage Group Payment Arrangement compliance with HMRC.
- Support the UK Financial Controller during the external audit process, including preparation of audit deliverables.
- Assist with the annual budget and mid-year forecast processes.
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and initiatives as required by senior leadership.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting, particularly FRS101.
- Experience using financial reporting and accounting systems.
- Skilled in preparing and interpreting financial data and reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently to deadlines.
