Summary: The role of Financial Accountant is a fixed-term contract position based in Worksop, focusing on statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial control for a leading international manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial processes for head office, R&D, laboratory, and administrative cost centres.
  • Handle intercompany recharges and capital project accounting across multiple group entities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and cost centre reports.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for eight UK legal entities in accordance with FRS101.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors to prepare UK tax computations and support R&D tax credit claims.
  • Manage Group Payment Arrangement compliance with HMRC.
  • Support the UK Financial Controller during the external audit process, including preparation of audit deliverables.
  • Assist with the annual budget and mid-year forecast processes.
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and initiatives as required by senior leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting, particularly FRS101.
  • Experience using financial reporting and accounting systems.
  • Skilled in preparing and interpreting financial data and reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently to deadlines.

Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading international manufacturing business to recruit a Financial Accountant on an 18-month fixed-term contract, based at their office in Worksop.
