Summary: This interim Financial Accountant role in Reading involves supporting the Financial Controller during a critical financial period, focusing on statutory audit and year-end reporting. The position requires collaboration with external auditors and compliance with UK GAAP and US reporting standards. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in statutory reporting, particularly in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and review of statutory accounts
- Acting as a key liaison between external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting consolidation processes and year-end close
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards
- Managing audit deliverables and responding to auditor queries
- Assisting with reconciliations and technical accounting papers where needed
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in statutory reporting
- Strong knowledge of audit processes and technical accounting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Salary (Rate): £400
