Summary: The Financial Accountant will be an integral part of the finance team at Insight Travel Services Ltd, responsible for managing the accounting functions of an overseas company and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with auditors and ensure compliance with internal controls. The position is full-time, hybrid, and temporary, lasting between 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the accounting function of an overseas company
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts
• Overall responsibility for periodic forecasts and cash flow projections
• Preparing and filing quarterly Swiss VAT returns
• Reviewing balance sheet and other reconciliations
• Liaising with auditors remotely during the external audit process
• Ensuring group internal control guidelines are followed and reporting deadlines are met

Key Skills:

• A recognized professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong technical knowledge with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook at advanced or intermediate level
• Highly organized and able to work to tight deadlines
• Proactive and flexible attitude
• French language skills and knowledge of Swiss VAT would be useful but not essential
