Summary: A Financial Accountant is needed for a leading Media business in Manchester on a 6-month hybrid contract. The role involves managing accounting tasks for various entities, including month-end and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting finance transformation projects. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Financial Accounts and contribute to the transition onto a new ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting with the year-end and month-end preparation for various entities
• Owning the balance sheet reconciliations for various entities
• Managing intercompany reconciliation work
• Preparing financial statements for various entities
• Responsibility for journal entries and payroll reconciliations
• Supporting with the transition onto new ERP system

Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience)
• Experience owning month-end and year-end processes
• Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Proactive nature with a focus on process improvement
• Experience in a larger business is preferred but not essential

Salary (Rate): £45,000.00
