Summary: The role of Financial Accountant at a London-based law firm involves supporting the finance team with management accounts, audits, budgeting, and forecasting over a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position requires collaboration with various departments and the preparation of financial reports to assist legal groups. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and must possess relevant qualifications and experience in the legal or consultancy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and reports, assisting with year-end and month-end processes.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly cash flow and P&L forecasts.
  • Assisting with annual revenue and expenditure budgeting.
  • Collaborating with other business departments, providing guidance on financial information and data.
  • Assisting with annual audit including preparation of statutory accounts, liaising with external stakeholders.
  • Providing and presenting financial management information to support legal groups and other partners to lead their practices.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ICAEW, CAANZ, ACCA, FCCA, CIMA) with legal or consultancy sector experience.
  • Experienced with accounting principles and reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and challenge business growth and change.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Power BI is desirable.

Your new company I am currently working with a London-based law firm that is looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team on a 12-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team to assist the finance team on all aspects from management accounts, half-end and year-end audit, budgeting and forecasting, etc. This role reports into the Finance Manager.
