Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly financial accounts, including group consolidation
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and compliance reporting
  • Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, inventory valuation, intercompany reconciliations and the preparation of corporation and deferred tax estimates
  • Identifying and implementing control based improvements to systems and processes
  • Maintaining the internal control framework in conjunction with Group Internal Audit
  • Key point of contact for external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
  • Produce commentaries to explain the key drivers of financial performance
  • Coordinate the submission of ESG-related data and reports to Group
  • Approval of key financial transactions, including bank payments, supplier master data changes and purchase orders
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team on change initiatives.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS 16 highly desirable
  • Excellent Excel skills and a high level of IT literacy
  • Previous audit and statutory reporting experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter who is capable of working independently, as well as part of a team
  • Inquisitive attitude with a desire to drive continuous improvement to systems and processes
  • Excellent communication skills

As Financial Accountant, you will enjoy the technical nature of group reporting and working with colleagues at a Group level.
