The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established professional services organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Working closely with the CFO, you will play a key role in supporting several finance-related projects whilst ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting and maintaining robust financial controls.
This role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives, making it an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a varied position with the potential for a permanent appointment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the production of statutory accounts and year-end audit requirements.
- Support the CFO with ongoing finance transformation and business improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures.
- Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on key variances.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience within a Financial Accountant position.
- Experience working within a professional services environment is highly desirable.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
