Summary: The role of Financial Accountant FTC involves managing financial reporting, balance sheet control, and budgeting support within a not-for-profit organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly and annual financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
  • Managing cash flow reporting, fixed assets and capital expenditure.
  • Assisting with audits, VAT returns and statutory compliance.
  • Reviewing financial controls and identifying process improvements.
  • Providing financial analysis and insight to support decision-making.

Key Skills:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified/part-qualified, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of audits, statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive with a focus on process improvement and continuous development.

Salary (Rate): £55,000 yearly

Robertson Bell is supporting a not-for-profit organisation in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a 12 months contract basis.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a key role within the finance team, responsible for financial reporting, balance sheet control, budgeting support and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
