Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate financial reporting and analysis for defined business areas.
- Take ownership of Balance Sheet areas, ensuring they are reconciled and reported on time.
- Provide financial visibility and analysis to the Finance Team and Senior Management.
- Respond to SOX testing and audit queries, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Work with the Financial Controller on finance process improvements and automation.
- Assist in preparing the monthly Board review pack with relevant performance stats and analysis.
Key Skills:
- Newly qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Educated to degree level or proven work experience.
- Proficient in handling large data sets in Excel, Power BI, or business systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and initiative.
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 & IFRS 16.
- Experience in creating innovative solutions for efficiencies and cost management.
- Audit experience is a plus.

What you will be doing
To be responsible for creating accurate financial reporting and analysis for defined business areas to enable the Finance Team and Senior Management help drive the achievement of agreed budgets and company objectives. To take ownership of all Balance Sheet areas of responsibility ensuring they are fully understood, reconciled, and reported in line with monthly deadlines. Including highlighting all risk and opportunities in a timely manner and ensuring strong governance is always upheld. To provide the Finance Team and Senior Management as appropriate, with accurate and relevant financial visibility on current performance, commentary and interpretation, trend analysis and analytical review as appropriate; to help gain greater insight and contribute to the achievement of the company’s objectives. To pro-actively respond to requests in relation to SOX testing and audit queries, to meet Group SOX testing deadlines and to achieve a clean audit report. To work with the Financial Controller to identify key Finance process improvements required and support with the transformation of automating transactional areas. Assist FPA Controller with preparation of the monthly Board review pack including clear and accurate reporting pertaining to divisional performance stats, relevant commentary, and analysis for corrective action requirements.
You will ideally have
- Newly qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), educated to degree level or proven work experience
- Comfortable handling/interpreting large data in excel, Power BI or business systems
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines – month end
- Ability to organise own work and to take initiative
- Ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 & IFRS 16
- Experience of creating innovative solutions that contribute to efficiencies, savings/cost management
- Have a flexible approach to transformation
- Audit experience is a plus
