Role

Finance Transformation Partner/Manager

12 month FTC (Fixed Term Contract)

Salary: £90k - £110k DOE

Location: 3 days a week in Central London

Company

Stanton House is partnering with a high-growth, technology-led organisation to appoint an Interim Finance Transformation Partner on an initial fixed-term contract.

The business has experienced significant growth and is now focused on strengthening and scaling its finance operations through process redesign, automation, systems optimisation, and capability development.

This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in improving the effectiveness and scalability of a modern finance function operating within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for redesigning and embedding core finance processes, initially focusing on accounts receivable before extending into accounts payable and month-end close activities.

This is a delivery-focused transformation role where success will be measured by the sustainability of the improvements implemented.

You will work directly within existing processes, redesigning and improving them while ensuring the permanent team has the capability, documentation, and ownership required to maintain them long after the engagement has ended.

You will thrive in this position if you enjoy balancing operational delivery with change, have a strong understanding of finance systems and automation, and are motivated by leaving behind lasting improvements rather than simply producing recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign and improve core finance processes across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close activities.
  • Improve billing accuracy, collections, credit control, reconciliations, and close processes.
  • Operate finance processes directly where required to ensure improvements are grounded in operational reality.
  • Drive automation and workflow improvements across the finance technology landscape, reducing manual intervention and spreadsheet dependency.
  • Optimise the use of ERP and supporting systems to improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and process consistency.
  • Shorten and stabilise month-end close timelines while improving accuracy and reliability.
  • Identify and implement practical automation and AI opportunities that remove low-value activity and improve finance performance.

Requirements

Essential

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record delivering finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Hands-on experience operating and improving finance processes across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial close environments.

Strong experience within growing commercial organisations, ideally within technology, software, SaaS, or SME environments.

Proven ability to redesign and embed sustainable finance processes rather than provide advisory recommendations alone.

Experience driving Finance Transformation projects end-to-end.

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders outside finance and drive cross-functional change.

Experience coaching, training, and developing teams to successfully adopt new processes and ways of working.

Experience working with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance transformation professional who enjoys combining hands-on delivery with sustainable change.

The role offers the chance to make a measurable impact on a growing organisation's finance capability, systems, and operating model within a relatively short timeframe.
