Summary: The Finance Transformation Manager will lead financial reporting and transformation initiatives for a Private Equity-backed professional services group during a significant integration and growth phase. Reporting to the CFO, the role focuses on enhancing financial reporting capabilities, streamlining processes, and managing consolidation across multiple entities. The position requires a qualified accountant with extensive experience in finance transformation and project-based businesses. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office in Cheshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building a fit-for-purpose financial reporting function, delivering quick wins and long-term improvements.
- Streamlining month-end close to target 6 working days and enhancing the quality of management information.
- Integrating recent acquisitions onto Sage 200.
- Overseeing process automation, efficiency improvements, and cleansing of finance systems.
- Partnering with support functions to improve reporting and enable tighter cost control.
- Managing consolidation across approximately 20 entities with multiple currencies.
- Delivering budgets, forecasts (3-statement model), and rolling 13-week cashflows.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 8-10 years PQE.
- Experience in Private Equity-backed businesses.
- Background in people-based businesses with project time reporting systems.
- Proven success in leading finance transformation and integrating acquisitions.
- Consolidation experience across multi-entity, multi-currency groups.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Hands-on experience with Sage 200; experience with CMAP time reporting system is beneficial.
- Availability to be on-site 3 days per week in Cheshire.
