Skillsbay is supporting a major Finance Transformation Programme and is looking for several experienced qualified accountants to support the transition to a new Oracle Fusion Finance environment.
We are looking for strong financial accountants who can work across Chart of Accounts, financial data, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting and data migration, helping ensure that existing financial information is properly understood, reconciled and mapped into the future finance structure.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design, development and governance of the future Chart of Accounts (CoA).
- Analyse and reconcile complex financial data across existing finance and reporting systems.
- Review balance sheet positions, reserves, opening and closing balances and year-on-year movements.
- Investigate and resolve historical accounting and reconciliation differences.
- Support the mapping of existing financial structures and balances into the future Chart of Accounts.
- Ensure financial structures support statutory reporting, management reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Support validation of financial data and opening balances ahead of migration to Oracle Fusion.
- Identify financial, reporting, data-quality and control risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Work closely with Finance teams, transformation workstreams and the implementation partner.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve queries and challenge proposed changes where appropriate.
- Support documentation, training and change activities around the new Chart of Accounts and financial processes.
Essential experience
- Fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong financial accounting experience within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts and financial data structures.
- Experience of balance sheet reconciliations, year-end close and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, accruals, prepayments, reserves and accounting adjustments.
- Experience analysing and reconciling complex financial information from multiple sources.
- Experience working on a finance transformation, ERP implementation or significant financial systems change.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to investigate complex issues and produce clear, evidence-based recommendations.

- Oracle Fusion Finance transformation experience.
- Oracle E-Business Suite experience.
- Chart of Accounts redesign or implementation experience.
- Financial data migration, mapping and validation experience.
- OneStream experience.
- Group accounting or consolidation experience.
- Higher Education or public sector experience.
- Experience working alongside a System Integrator.
