Summary: The Finance/Transactional Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing transactional and treasury data to support various teams within the organization. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will focus on data management, reporting, and identifying process improvements to drive impactful results. A strong emphasis is placed on forensic financial investigations and data validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Map, document, and implement controls for all banking and card data flows.
- Extract and analyse banking and card transactions, creating daily reports and tracking timing discrepancies between platform transactions and banking statements.
- Develop and maintain reports to support Finance, Treasury, and Safeguarding functions.
- Process and validate large data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Gather, manage, and analyse large data sets within the Railsr platform.
- Analyse banking and card transactions to identify unusual trends and anomalies, presenting insights through comprehensive reports and dashboards.
Key Skills:
- Eye for forensic financial investigations and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel, and/or data visualization tools.
- Hands-on experience tracking the movement of funds, from start to finish.
- Familiarity with financial processes like settlement cycles, safeguarding, and reconciliation for major payment networks.
- Knowledge of UK payment systems and real-time transactional data streams.
- Bonus: SQL or Python
